Lindsey Parnell is President and CEO of Interface in Europe, Middle East and Africa. The company is a worldwide leader in the design and production of carpet tiles that combine beauty and sustainability with functionality and environmental credentials to help customers bring their design vision to life.

Lindsey has overall responsibility for the company's modular flooring operations in the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Within the region, his role involves steering the
business to long‐term growth and ensuring a continued focus on Mission Zero – the company’s pledge to eliminate its negative impact on the environment by 2020.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Hull University, Lindsey began his career at British Steel. He went on to hold operations management roles within various large industrial
businesses, before a three‐year stint as a consultant with international accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand prior to the company’s merger to become PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Lindsey joined the carpet industry with Firth Carpets in 1996 and was Production Director when the company was acquired by Interface in 1997. He very quickly moved up the ranks, promoted within the space of a year to Vice President of Operations for Interface's modular flooring business in the UK and, the following year, to Senior Vice President of Operations for the entire European modular flooring operations.

In September 2002, Lindsey was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of Interface EMEAI.

Under Lindsey’s leadership, Interface Europe has achieved the best performance results in its history, in 2007, and has continued to make steady progress towards its Mission Zero goal, as recognised by numerous awards and accolades, including the prestigious Queen’s Award for Sustainable Development in 2008 and the National Business Award for Sustainability in 2011.

Between June 2008 and 2010 Lindsey served as Chairman of the Confederation of British Industry’s (CBI’s) Yorkshire and Humber Council. He also regularly shares Interface’s story through speaking platforms
throughout the world, from Delhi to Madrid and from Stockholm to Cape Town as well as in the UK and Holland.

In his spare time, Lindsey can be found indulging in his passion for riding motorbikes around the TT circuit in the Isle of Man.
