Rob Boogaard is President & CEO EMEA. The company is a worldwide leader in the design and production of carpet tiles that combine beauty and sustainability with functionality and environmental credentials to help customers bring their design vision to life.

In his role as Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing, Rob is responsible for setting, leading and implementing the Sales & Marketing strategy for the company throughout EMEA. His goal is to grow the company’s market share despite a challenging business climate. He also has overall responsibility on Interface’s delivery of excellent customer service. Rob joined Interface in 2011, attracted to the company by his passion for the interiors industry and his desire to help achieve the company’s ambitious goal for zero environmental impact by 2020, known as Mission Zero.

Prior to joining Interface, Rob spent three years as Director of Global Marketing and Commercial Services at Norit X-Flow, recently acquired by Pentair. The company produces membrane filtration technology for various municipal and industrial water applications. Rob was integral to commercialising the company, which had traditionally been technically focused. Rob was also responsible for maintaining the company’s reputation as a leader in its field, and guiding the company through a period of rapid growth.

A Dutch native, Rob previously spent 18 years working and living abroad. He started his career in the United States, where he joined Steelcase Inc, a global leader in the office furniture industry. Rob later moved to France, to work for the company’s European headquarters, before returning to the US. There he joined Polyvision, a Steelcase company that develops and manufactures visual communications technology, and set up the company’s international sales division.

Rob is married with three young children. In his spare time, he enjoys attending his children’s sports games. He also has a passion for music and loves getting involved in organising concerts and festivals. Rob is also a founding Board Member of the How Far Foundation in Atlanta, Georgia. This non-profit humanitarian aid agency exists to provide education, combat starvation and malnutrition and prevent suffering from water related diseases by providing sources of clean drinking water in East Africa.
